Clare Shepherd is an artist and a painter who lives and works on The
Cranborne Chase in Dorset. She studied at The Slade School of Fine Art and was The Slade
Prizewinner for her graduating year. She exhibits in Dorset on a regular basis and
further afield usually once every two years. Clare taught for the Dorset Adult
Education Service and Bath University for many years but now all her teaching is
privately done including some e-learning (email for details) and a vibrant summer school.
Clare considers her teaching an important part
of her career and has very definite ideas on how and what to teach.

In September I bought and paid for internet security on-line from a company called 'Shop4tek'. I should have guessed from the name! Firstly they took too long and never replied to my questioning emails and messages left on their never answered answer phone. When an envelope finally came and I signed for it...it was empty but for a flyer advertising swine flu thermometers! Avoid that company like the plague!! And guess what? They're not even answering the phone with an answerphone message anymore and I've certainly had no reply to my emails.
UPDATE: 5.11.09. Thanks to this rant many people have contacted me including someone who gave me this number to call 02920 229498. It took me through to the warehouse which supplies Shop4tek. I spoke to a very nice person called Russell who put an upgrade version of what I'd ordered in the post and it came next day recorded delivery...hooray! Thank you to all those who emailed me and thank you Russell.
15.11.09 Many people have contacted me via this rant. It seems that, on the whole, those who still require their order, when they finally get through to Russell, do receive it but those who would like their money back don't seem to have much luck. The more people that contact their trading standards office the more likely that 'shop4tek' will be stoppped.
